Sustainable Projects The 700 University high-density project in Berkeley, California, will achieve sustainability through compliance with the “Build It Green” program. The mixed-use project was designed to be transit-oriented, incorporating sustainable materials and efficient design. The University Village Albany in Berkeley, California is a LEED certified and award winning project. Certification was achieved most notably through responsible design, restoring two creeks that flow through the site and connect the project to the regional ecology. The high-density project also features: recycled demolition debris, a new community garden, over 750 bicycle racks, natural ventilation, enhanced stormwater management and drought resistant foliage. ![]() |
